This is a manual, hands-on therapy performed on the patient’s muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Specialized stretching and myofascial release techniques are applied to the muscles in order to relax muscle tissue, promote circulation, increase range of motion and flexibility, prevent fibrosis and adhesions within soft tissues, enhance muscle function, and break up scar tissue within muscle fibers.
While spinal manipulation (adjustments), spinal decompression and traction, and rehabilitation exercises are extremely important and effective, adding medical massage to your treatment regimen can be very beneficial in assisting in your recovery.
This therapy is covered by most insurance policies. Consult our staff to see if this is a covered service for you. If it is not covered, the fee for this service is very affordable.
